The views of Raspberry and Afognak Island and the ocean in between surround our various observation decks here at Kodiak Raspberry Island Remote Lodge. Fresh air, the peaceful sounds of nature and fond memories often find the casual ponderer or a group of storytellers relaxing at one of these. Possibly the most popular is the one directly above the fish cleaning table; perhaps because it is to watch our captain fillet the day’s catch, or, perhaps because it is the closest to the kegerator! A trip to the wilderness of Alaska deserves exposure to the elements, from a comfortable chair.
Raspberry Island Remote (Lodge) turned out to be the highest point in a trip where nothing was low.
