Eight private Guest cabins
are designed to give guests a quiet, undisturbed retreat within the surrounding Alaskan wilderness while remaining within a short walk to the heart of the property and main lodge. We never combine unrelated groups in the same cabin. Couples are always provided their own private cabin.
Each guest cabin is complete with a private bathroom, hot shower, and a flush toilet—amenities not often found this remote. Comfortable beds are made with flannel sheets, down comforters, and extra pillows. Fresh towels, thoughtfully selected soaps and shampoos, a hair dryer, Keurig, and soft robes and sandals for the spa complete a cozy place to call home during your stay.
Five of these are our Alaska Cabins—familiar, warm, and comfortable—with a lower queen bed, a lower twin, and an upper twin bunk. A table with a Keurig coffee maker and two swivel rockers rest in a bay window to enjoy the company or the view. They have hosted generations of guests and remain a favorite for their comfortable, enduring character.
Our Raspberry Island Chalet, often referred to as the Honeymoon Suite, holds a special place in our story. Built by Birch’s parents as a wedding gift for the two of us, it features a queen bed on the main level, comfortable seating, a small kitchenette, a private bathroom, and two twin beds in a sleeping loft accessed by a ship’s ladder. It is private, distinctive, and ideal for couples or families wanting a little extra space.
Our two Kodiak Bungalows, built in 2026, offer either two twin beds or a king-sized bed, oriented toward prow-style windows framing the surrounding landscape. Each features a spacious private bathroom with separately enclosed shower, toilet, and vanity areas.

THE LODGE
Kodiak Raspberry Island Remote Lodge is an off-grid wilderness property within the Kodiak Archipelago, built around access to fishing, wildlife, and coastal Alaska while maintaining comfort, privacy, and simplicity in a remote setting.
The Main Lodge
Built from locally milled Sitka spruce, the main lodge is the center of daily life at the property—warm, open, and positioned to look directly across Raspberry Strait toward the surrounding mountains and ocean.
Food and Drink
Meals are prepared from scratch each day, often centered around locally harvested seafood, with fresh breads, plated dinners, and complimentary beer and wine served in a relaxed communal atmosphere.
Pause
The pace naturally slows between activities—whether in the wood-fired sauna, hot tub, cold plunge, or simply watching weather and wildlife move through the strait from the deck.
