Boat-Seeing Day Cruise — A New Way to Experience Raspberry Island

We’re excited to introduce Boat-Seeing — our newest adventure and a perfect complement to fishing, sea kayaking, hiking, and fly-out bear viewing here at Kodiak Raspberry Island Remote Lodge. This full-day catamaran cruise opens the door to everything that makes the Kodiak Archipelago magical: wild coastlines, hidden coves, dramatic cliffs, puffin rookeries, sea otter rafts, and the chance encounters that only happen in truly remote places.

Unlike excursions with a set script, every Boat-Seeing trip is an open-book day on the water. We follow the wildlife, the weather, the tides, and the stories unfolding around us. One day might bring a pod of orcas slicing through glassy seas; another could reveal humpbacks breaching in the distance, a brown bear turning rocks on the shoreline, or Bob our friend the Stellar Sea Lion jostling for space on his haul-out. Eagles, Pigeon Guillemot, puffins, seals, porpoise, waterfalls, abrupt rock cliffs, and historic sites all become part of the narrative as the day naturally unfolds.

Aboard our smooth-riding, foil-assist catamarans, guests enjoy comfort, stability, private bathroom, and 360° views while your captain brings decades of local knowledge to every bend in the coastline.
