Nature andWildlife Cruises

begin in the main lodge with breakfast and coffee before stepping aboard one of our catamarans, directly from the beach. With no more than six guests per vessel, the pace remains unhurried from the start.
Once underway, we may travel through protected straits, open passages, and along remote shorelines, adjusting course as opportunities present themselves. Priorities are often defined by whales—following their movement as they surface, dive, and reappear. Others may focus on seabird colonies, sea lion haul-outs, or quiet stretches of coastline where sea otters drift in kelp beds. The day may follow a loose set of priorities or simply unfold with weather, tide, and what we encounter along the way.
There is time built into the day. Time to take in the scale of the coastline, the movement of the tide and light, and the quiet that comes with distance from roads or development. When conditions allow, we may land on a protected beach to walk, explore, or simply sit.
Comfort remains constant throughout. Heated cabins, wide decks, and space to move freely allow guests to engage as they choose—inside, outside, or somewhere in between.
By late afternoon, we return to the lodge. The transition is easy—back to shore, a warm meal, and the understanding that no two days here unfold the same way.
These are not tours in the traditional sense. They are small-group, flexible explorations of coastal Alaska, shaped by what the day offers and how you choose to experience it.
