The Gemini is a thirty seven foot aluminum catamaran, custom built for Kodiak Raspberry Island Remote Lodge by Maxweld Boats in Oregon. She is powered by twin Yanmar three hundred fifteen horsepower diesel engines, with special Sea Rider surface piercing drives to increase speed and performance, while decreasing fuel consumption. Her fishing deck alone is thirteen feet long by twelve feet wide, complimented by her full width landing platform off the stern and access door.
The Artemis is a thirty foot aluminum catamaran, custom built by Armstrong Marine in Washington. She is powered by twin Yamaha two hundred fifty horsepower outboards, and also has a 9.9 hp trolling kicker. She is specially designed with a walk around cabin to make fishing from the stern to the bow easier, and a unique drop down landing-craft style bow, giving our guests step on, step off accessibility while loading and unloading from the beaches.
Each catamaran has a spacious, heated, and comfortable fully enclosed cabin with excellent views and seating for the minimal number of only six passengers we allow on board. Each has a private bathroom, which is not always common to fishing boats in Alaska. The catamaran style hulls are graceful in foul weather (that we avoid) and are the ideal mode of transportation in the Kodiak area. Finally, each is without question a perfect platform from which to target these fish, and is outfitted with electric Scotty Downriggers, complete sets of stand up, trolling, mooching, and spinning tackle by G. Loomis, TFO, Penn, and Accurate Reels. We invite you onboard.
Thank you for being so wonderful to me and my clients, as they said it themselves, ‘this trip, the food, the fish, the people, have exceeded our expectations.’ ‘Top Shelf.’ ‘5 Star.’ You make everything you do look easy even though you never really stop for very long- Raspberry Island is the only place to go for the best of everything.
